Program Overview
A community-based dental hygiene and wellness outreach program serving Northeast and Central Ohio, promoting oral health education, sensory-inclusive practices, and wellness awareness for underserved and multicultural families.
Event Goals
- Promote Oral Health Awareness:
Increase knowledge of proper dental hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and preventive care. - Reduce Barriers to Care:
Identify and address common obstacles to consistent dental hygiene such as affordability, accessibility, fear, and misinformation. - Support Sensory and Behavioral Wellness:
Introduce the Masabih Beads Wellness Model, teaching participants how textured beads can support calmness, focus, and time awareness during brushing—especially for individuals with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, or anxiety. - Encourage Community Empowerment:
Provide free educational tools and hygiene kits to promote long-term self-care habits and encourage family involvement. - Build Sustainable Partnerships:
Collaborate with mosques, churches, schools, and community centers to expand the initiative’s reach and establish recurring educational events across diverse populations.
